The Center for Technological Leadership (CTL, Moscow) held an international educational seminar-program "Development and implementation of technological leadership projects. Bioeconomy" in Vladivostok and Shanghai (China). Kirill Sergeyevich Golokhvast, Director of the SFSCA RAS, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, and Professor RAS, took part in the event.
The program brought together 26 leaders of tech projects from universities, research organizations, and businesses. They’re working on projects in pharmaceuticals, medical technologies, industrial biotechnology, food production, and the agro-industrial sector. The main goal of the training is to help participants refine their projects to reach the market and find industry partners. Over the course of three months, participants visit leading companies in Russia and China, interact with experts, and learn from hands-on experience in implementing technological solutions. All of this helps to assess the potential of their own developments and determine the next steps for their growth. The presentation of the center’s activities in developing Russian-Chinese cooperation and the TCL participants’ projects took place as part of the international module of the program in Shanghai.
"The Center for Technological Leadership is a bridge between science and business, between the government and private capital, between Russia and China. We are open to collaboration and ready to develop joint programs, conduct evaluations, fund projects, and create joint ventures," said Irina Zhukova, CEO of the Center for Technological Leadership (CTL) at Gazprombank. – Our principle is simple: science without implementation isn’t technological leadership. Every project has to reach the consumer. Together with you, we can make it happen faster, more effectively, and in the interest of both our countries”.
Irina Zhukova noted that support for innovative projects is widespread in China and suggested jointly financing Russian-Chinese developments with local funds. According to her, this would allow combining the resources and expertise of both countries.
The final stage of the “Development and implementation of technological leadership projects. Bioeconomy” program will be the Big Conference “Priority – Technological Leadership”. Participants will look at the development of advanced engineering schools and discuss new approaches to growing engineering schools, strengthening the role of industry partners, and cooperation between universities and research organizations.
Among the conference speakers are the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov, and Deputy Chairman of Gazprombank Dmitry Zauers.
In Russia, the program is implemented by CTL, FEFU, IMEMO RAS, and the "Russky" Innovative Science and Technology Center, with support from Gazprombank, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, as well as the company Natura Siberica.
